What is it?

How to process a payment through TYRO when someone rings the cafe to order and wants to pay with their card over the phone

Why we do it?

So we are easy to do business with for the customer.  The customer may wish to pay and have someone else pick up their order

Who performs this task?

The person who takes the order, they must have access to Lightspeed though.

When do we perform this task?

When a customer rings and places an order that needs to be prepared and paid for over the phone.  We don’t use this procedure for catering orders

How we do it

• Process your order through Lightspeed, proceed to checkout
• Choose TYRO for the payment option
• When the amount shows on the TYRO device press the MENU button on the TYRO device
• Then chose MOTO (meaning phone transaction)
• Go back to the iPad and enable the transaction (it will show a prompt asking if this is ok)
• Choose Phone Order on the TYRO device
• Then manually key in the card number, expiry date and CVV (located on the back of the card)
• Then select ok
