- Cold brew:
23 litres of filtered water (Order from Woolworths)
Coffee (not the coffee we use in store) (ethiopian yirgacheffe’)
Paper filter
Permanent Filter & Bucket
Black Cold Brew Base:
- Fill bucket up to line with water ~11.5 litres
- Weigh out 1350g Single Origin Coffee beans
- Set decaf grinder to coarse roughly between 2 – 3
making sure grinder is clean inside, grind all 1350g into a container - Put coffee into paper filter which then goes inside the permanent filter
- Insert filter into bucket and pour over (not too fast) the remaining 11.5 litres of water onto the coffee grinds in a circular motion while trying not to get it on the visible filter, stir afterwards.
- After one hour, come back and give it a good stir making sure all the grinds are soaked, be gentle you don’t want to tear the paper filter.
- After 10 to 13 hours of brew time, pull up and twist the permanent filter so it can drain into a CLEAN bucket for ~1hour. Make sure to taste test it before selling.
