What needs to be done in a blackout …..

If it’s day time and you can see please follow normal procedures and complete everything you are able to.

BE SURE TO OPEN AND CLOSE FRIDGES AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE

If it is night time please complete the following:

• A torch is located in the cupboard with the greasetrap key and another is in the greasetrap room – How to use torch
• Remove all food from the Sandwich display fridge and place in alternative fridges
• Hand wash dishes and place into dishwasher
• Wipe all benches ensuring all food scraps are gone
• Empty all waste into outside bins
• Have all Gelato on prep bench ready to go straight into the fridge all at once (ONLY OPEN FRIDGE ONCE) Have one staff hold the door while someone else stacks
• YOU MUST ENSURE all light switches and sandwhich press are turned off
• Notify next Opening Shift Staff of blackout and arrange for staff to come early to clean
