What is it?
This procedure shows you how to update the opening hours each year for all public holidays across all locations. You can then also update the permanent trading hours if need be. Most locations trade 8am-4pm on public holidays. Christmas Day, Boxing Day & Easter Friday are the only 3 days we are closed.

Who performs this task?
You need to have been invited to manage our Google Page. Anyone is able to be allocated this task, preferably someone who is full time and allocated some admin hours
When do we perform this task?
We perform this task once a year for all Holidays and for all locations. Amy has a reminder email set to go out.
Login details or access codes
You need to have been invited to manage our Google Page. You will have your own password for this.
How we do it
You can do this on your computer or through the My Business Google App on your phone. I find it much quicker and easier on my computer.
- Google Alowishus, once the search results come up, click ‘edit profile’ under the Alowishus logo
(circled in red as per screen shot) - A menu will will come up and then click ‘hours’, then scroll to the bottom and click the VISIT SITE button
- Scroll down and you’ll see 2 sections of hours, the first being standard hours and the 2nd being the special hours/days for the year.
- Click on the edit button for the special hours and proceed to update them. Public holidays that appear on the DATE each year are simple eg Christmas Day and Anzac, just change the year. Public holidays that appear on different dates each year you will need to google. eg Easter, Queens Birthday and Show holidays
- This is a good link to find the Queensland Public Holidays at https://publicholidays.com.au/queensland choose the year you want (you will need to find the dates for the local show holidays separately, try your local council website)
- Be sure to delete any out of date hours.
- Click Save and done, the results will take a couple of days to be published, as they need to be reviewed by Google

If you are unable to edit a date simply delete and then add a new date
