The below Video will explain how to add in new products to Lightspeed including

• Normal Products
• Variant Products
• Products with options
• Products with variable quantities
• Modifier products
• Products with images

Important Items to Note:

• Where possible always populate the cost price field (under product info).  This gives an accurate Gross Profit Margin for reporting.
• Always ensure the correct tax code is used.  As a rule the TAX code will be GST, exceptions to this rule are water, 100% fruit juices and white milk (on these products if we don’t get charged GST, we don’t on charge GST).  Check supplier invoice if unsure.  This ensure correct reporting and paying of GST on the quarterly BAS.
• When adding a product with variants be sure to have all of the above settings correct before adding the variants.  This will ensure you don’t have to add the cost price, the sell price and the GST code to each individual variant.
• Once all of the variants have been added you can go back into Product Info and add bar codes where necessary.
• Be sure to add a printer for the item to send to where required.
