Preparing & Packaging Homemade Lemonade

Bulk Instructions:  This recipe makes 22 litres

What you will need:

  • Kettle
  • Large mayo bucket
  • Sugar
  • 5-litre bottle of pure lemon juice
  • Large funnel
  • Jug
  • Large spatula for stirring

What to do:

  • Fill the kettle to full and boil
  • Weigh out 2650 grams of sugar and pour into specially marked “Mayo Bucket”
  • Once water boils, add to sugar and stir until clear ( you will need to stir it for around 90 seconds)
  • Add 5-litre bottle of pure lemon juice
  • Fill with tap water, up to the mark on the inside of the mayo bucket
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and then stir with spatula, you will need to stir right at the bottom of the bucket
  • Fill as many MAR bottles as you need for the customer fridge
  • Use a funnel and small jug to decant the remaining lemonade into the marked 5-litre lemonade bottles

Cupping up for Customer Fridge:

  • Fill MAR lemonade bottles and lid
  • Place into customer fridge
  • NB: Be sure to place all the new bottles of lemonade to the back of the fridge and bring forward any existing bottles to the front

Empty Bottles?

  • Rinse inside and outside of empty bottle thoroughly, leave lid off to air dry. (It will go mouldy if you do not leave the lid off)
